| Abstract(in English) | This paper proposes a method of creating map-based groupware applications without using Cloud Map APIs. It allows exchanging information directly on a map of a designated area. Group members can easily find interesting facts about the area, share photo files, and exchange comments all on the same map. Most map applications available are constructed by using Cloud Map APIs, but those applications require registration and/or usage fee payment. For an effective fee-free alternative, we have established a method of creating map-based applications which do not use Cloud Map APIs. Instead, we use an ordinary map site whose URL contains latitude/longitude values that function as parameters and display the map on IFRAME, overlaid with a Canvas of HTML5 where photos and comments are drawn. The map centre is controlled by changing the URL parameters, and the latitude/longitude values are converted to the pixel positions in the Canvas coordinate, and vice versa. This method provides sufficient functions for a groupware and is expected to facilitate studies of literature and history, sightseeing guidance, and exchange of information regarding fashion and gourmet. |
