Regulation Scheme for Output-Voltage Distortion Compensation of Half-Bridge AC?AC Converters

Abstract(in English) This paper considers regulation scheme for output-voltage distortion compensation at 400 V/100 V AC-AC conversion by a semiconductor power converter. We focus on a half-bridge converter in order to reduce the weight. Two distortion-compensation systems are prototyped by utilizing asymmetrical and symmetrical control, respectively, which are control schemes of the half-bridge converter. Responses of these systems are experimentally evaluated. Moreover, a distortion-compensation experiment is conducted by loading a diode bridge. As a result, distortion rate of the conventional transformer is 11.1% in the worst case, whereas the distortion rate is mitigated to 2.0% by the proposed distortion-compensation system.
