| Abstract(in English) | Accidents at intersections are mostly collision accidents. The cause of the occurrence is that it is not aware of the presence of other traffic users, regardless of whether the outlook of the intersection is good or bad. Therefore, in this study, we propose to introduce a new transportation infrastructure that detects and identifies intersection users such as pedestrians, bicycles and cars and can adaptively notify other users of the approach. In addition, we verify that the proposed system is effective in reducing accidents at intersections. Finally, we introduce examples of introduction to the two-step crosswalk as an application of this system. |
