| Abstract(in English) | In this paper, we propose a novel feature descriptor called Color Cumulative Energy (CCE) that be can used for extracting personal feature from person's top-view image. CCE utilizes the cumulative frequency of the occurrence of each color in the input images, that we use to describe each person with a 4-dimensional tensor ${bf {P_R}^4}$. Since the images taken by a top-view camera only showing the top part of people’s heads and their shoulders, they do not contain sensitive private information such as faces or whole bodies so that the privacy of individuals can be easily protected. The person re-identification is carried out by estimating the Bhattacharyya distance between pairs of ${bf {P_R}^4}$. We have carried out numerous experiments and the experimental results confirmed the effectiveness and stability of the proposed descriptor. |
