Abstract(in English) | In this report, we experimentally demonstrate a visible light boomerang prototype and verify the feasibility of simultaneously performing communication and ranging by implementing not only a previously reported communication unit but also a new distance measurement unit, which is an important feature of the visible light boomerang system. The prototype uses visible light communication via LED and photodiodes, with direct-sequence spread spectrum techniques. At the communication and ranging unit, we apply a simplified approach combing Ex-OR gate and Low-path filter. At the transmitting and receiving section, light is focused using a lens unit. Results confirm that while we have to improve the prototype distance measurement unit due to a margin of error, simultaneous communication and ranging is possible. |
