Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper discusses advanced knowledge of translation methods and reports on compiling of multi-language databases which comprise phrasal patterns, semantic categories thereof, and annotations to the pattern from the view point of translation grammar. These elements for constructing translation method are based on the concept of theory of Semantic Typology, which suggests that human cognition to the world be accompanied by an epistemological framework under the influence of a mother tongue. A set of semantic patterns is formed from a source language, and then is mapped to a set of those of a target language through the common logical category having universality.
