Abstract(in English) | For the children and students who are under care of hospitals or welfare facilities and cannot present at school, a system constructed by an Avatar robot with remote control using gaze input is proposed to obtain real-time information in class. The proposed system is with automatic motion control of the camera on the Avatar robot following the gaze point of user to obtain interested information/scene in class. In the user interface of the proposed system, the information/scene fetched according to the gaze point is displayed at the center of the screen. To display the information/scene smoothly to the user, it is important to set the proper speed to centralize on the screen causing no worse or uncomfortable feeling. In this paper, the speed adjustment is investigated according to psychological evaluation experiments. Proper speed range and its evaluation are introduced based on experimental results. |
