Abstract(in English) | A space division multiplexing (SDM) technology becomes more attractive because it offers large transmission capacity of multiple of a number of spatial channel count. When the SDM technique is applied to core and metro network, it is needed to construct a switching devices which is able to handle both wavelength and space channel. It should be noted that SDM network with “uncoupled” SDM media such as multi-core-fiber provides a degree of freedom of spatial switching in addition to wavelength switching. In this report, we demonstrate 6x6 wavelength cross connect consisting of 4-f optical system based wavelength selective switches by using spatial and planar optical circuit platform which provides advantages of low inter-WSS crosstalk. |
