Abstract(in English) For short reach transmission in data centers, small mode field diameter is a useful method to suppress crosstalk of multicore fibers from the point of simplified fabrication process and low cost productivity. However, it increases sensitivity to the misalignment at connection points. Connection loss characteristics are improved as a result of thermally expanded core techniques with co-dopants.
