Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Nowadays, the buffer size of routers and switches has increased. When Internet traffic increases, the number of packets increases in the buffer, and then the queuing delay also increases. Such problem is called Bufferbloat, which affects time-critical applications such as VoIP and online games. For this problem, AQM (Active Queue Management), which manages rules or frequency to drop packets in the buffer, has received attention. One of the examples is Codel. When a queuing delay, which is grater than the threshold, occurs within an interval from the previous dropping, this method drops a packet and then adjusts the packet drop interval to the next packet dropping. However, this control may make the interval be unstable when some burst traffics occur intermittently from HTTP/1.1 and so on. In order to solve this problem, this paper improvements FQ-Codel, which is CoDel with a packet scheduling, by gradually increasing the packet drop interval. Finally, the simulation experiments evaluate the proposed method.
