| This paper discusses a novel ontology-based approach to analyze life motivation of the elderly. Our approach aims detection of cognitive declining of the elderly in the early stage to provide effective care. This approach creates personalized task ontology of the activity, the location, and the posture from existing domain ontologies. We classify how the elderly have done a specific activity and how much effort he spends on the activity, based on touched objects, time, location, and posture factors. The important feature is the classified data groups are expressed in histograms. Comparing histograms with past ones, the doctor can estimate their current situation and future hazards. We conducted 6 preliminary experiments to 3 elderly. The results indicate the potential of our system. |
