X-ray mammography has been used as a standard technique for early breast cancer screening because of its high resolution. However, it causes ionizing radiation. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a new method that has no ionizing radiation. It has been reported that the permittivity and conductivity of breast cancer tissues are higher than those of normal breast tissues in microwave frequency bands so that microwave imaging technology has been developed. The calibration for the emission time in the time-domain confocal imaging is discussed. |
