|
Inefficient manual operations in enterprise cloud cause high management costs. To reduce these costs, it is promising to clarify operation history, which is information about the sequence of past operational executions. Operation history is conventionally obtained by manual analysis such as interviewing operators, but its crucial problem is that such the manual approach is time-consuming. Towards overcoming this problem, our main idea is to utilize system logs that are automatically accumulated in cloud. We propose a method that maps low-level and unformatted system log to high-level context of individual past operations. An evaluation shows that our method enables to reduce 95% of time to obtain operation history, compared to a conventional one.
