抄録
The standardization of next-generation wireless LAN system started the Task Group (TG) IEEE 802.11ax in May 2014 with an aim to increase the system throughput in dense environments. In 802.11ac, DL-MU-MIMO require knowledge of the full-bandwidth channel state information (CSI). Whereas, 11ax utilizes an extended sounding protocol which not only solicits UL multiplexing of the CSI feed-back frames from a plurality of high efficiency (HE) STAs, but also permits CSI estimates over partial-bandwidth. Therefore, in this paper, we provide a quantitative analysis of the overhead reduction in 802.11ax sounding protocol with partial-bandwidth over full-bandwidth CSI feedback.
