Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The transmission loss method of the IEEE std.299-1997 and the insertion loss method of the IEC TS 61587-3 are widely used as a shield effectiveness evaluation method for shield chambers. However, measurement of reference loss is necessary in these evaluation methods, therefore these estimation methods require prolonged measurements and include problems in the reproducibility of reference loss. We had proposed a procedure to evaluate a shielding effectiveness using a normalized site attenuation method in order to solve the above-mentioned problems. In this paper we proposed a new frequency sweep shielding effectiveness measurement method using normalized site attenuation data which was measured using a transmitting antenna. And we also compared the shield effectiveness measured in Fully Anechoic Chamber using insertion loss method and in Semi-Anechoic Chamber using transmission loss method, with the shield effectiveness measured in each Chamber using frequency sweep method, respectively. According to the measured data, almost same results were obtained both by the proposed method and by the conventional method, and by using this proposed method, measurement time was able to be made into the half compared with the conventional method.
