Microwave Gas Sensor Using PSE-Coated Interdigital Resonator on CPW Structure

(in English) This paper presents a microwave gas sensor based on interdigital resonator with coating of gas sensing material PSE (Poly (styrene-co-maleic acid) partial isobutyl/methyl mixed ester). This sensor designed on DiClad 880 substrate interdigital resonator operating at 4 GHz on the middle of CPW transmission line with rejection characteristic. Then coated with the PSE solution. The measured results for five samples of NH3 (50, 200, 500, 1000, and 2000 ppm) under a static system in the closed chamber at 25 C, the gas concentration level can be impressively separated, and the levels of transmission change are trendily relative to the gas concentration.
