A Wideband Triple-layer Transmitarray Antenna

(in English) In this paper, based on array antenna theory and geometric theory, a three-layer wideband transmitarray antenna is presented. The triple-layer transmitarray element is composed of a double conformal rings (DCR) patches, which is etched the upper layer and the lower layer of the dielectric substrate, and the middle layer is the same metal slit having the same shape as the DCR patch. The phase shift range exceeding 360? is achieved because of this multi-resonant structure. By changing the physical dimensions of the transmitarray element, phase coverage of up to 600? can be achieved. The triple-layer transmitarray works in 10GHz. The simulated maximum gain is 26.41 dB at 10GHz. Simulation results show that the antenna has a 1-dB gain bandwidth of 19.6% (9.2GHz-11.2GHz). The proposed triple-layer transmittarray antenna has a wider gain bandwidth.
