Design of 5.8 GHz Differential Rectenna Array for RF Energy Harvesting

(in English) To obtain useful power levels for proposed free-space microwave power transmission applications, microwave rectennas often require power combination. In this paper, the differential rectenna array with DC power combination is studied and a 5.8 GHz differential rectenna array with 16 units is designed. The equivalent structure of the differential rectenna array is given and analyzed. And then the optimal rectifier as well as the antenna unit is designed to realize the impedance conjugate matching. In order to improve the output power in the low power environment, the total 16 units are combined in parallel connection.
