This paper offers watermelon quality classification with microwave technique. The watermelon meter is to develop a non-destructive method for detecting ripeness watermelon based on the reflection measurement. This work, we fabricated the watermelon meter for classifying immature and mature fruit with free space method and the operating frequency at 2.0 GHz. The experiment presents good classification between immature and mature watermelons that the comparison of proposed watermelon meter with network analyzer. The mature fruit possess higher reflection coefficient than immature fruit.
