Electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) is a widely used instrument and in many situations a higher efficiency probe not only offers a better ability to detect weak signals but also stronger oscillating magnetic fields. With this in mind, this research proposes two stripline resonator designs. Simulations were done using finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) analysis and probes were fabricated using photolithography techniques. The stripline probes were tested using our home-made, Ku-band EPR system with 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) samples. A Q factor around 100 with about 5.3 mT W-ス (4200 A m-1 W-ス) microwave conversion efficiency was obtained at room temperature. |
