This paper presents a dual-band bandpass filter (DBPF) that has coplanar-waveguide quarter-wavelength resonators with open stubs. The resonator has two resonant frequencies, i.e., odd-mode and even-mode resonant frequencies. Each coupling coefficient can be independently configured between the two adjacent resonators with the odd- and even-mode frequencies because the two resonant modes of the resonator have different current density distributions, which leads to easy design of a DBPF with two different bandwidths. Calculated and measured frequency responses of the DBPF confirm that the proposed DBPF is effective in achieving two different fractional bandwidths. |
