Indoor position estimation and its evaluation by inertial sensor embedded in HMD.

(in English) The demand for indoor positioning has been enhanced for indoor navigation， trace of peoples movement and information services based on the areas etc． Many kinds of systems such as using wireless LAN，ultrasonic waves etc，have been investigated for indoor positioning．The method using inertial sensors is one candidate from aspect of cost and penetration，since these sensors are now implemented in the smartphone．This report describes the indoor positioning method using inertial sensors． The main feature of our method is using the walking characteristics in the corridor and taking the building structure into account． Since the location is estimated by the detection results of walking steps and curving at the corner． The calibration scheme is introduced to enhance the detection performance of walking steps， and the IIR filter is used to raise the detection of curve and U-turn walking． It was verified the proposed methods could boost the detection performance by experiments．
