In Instagram, evaluations with “Like” are given to the images as a communication between users. In this research, we examined whether color compensation would promote the receiving "Like" for 8 image categories shared in Instagram. In Study 1, participants evaluated to what extent the adjective words gathered by free description are related to the judgment of "Like" in each image category. Based on these results, highly relevant items were selected and evaluation scales were created for each category. In Study 2, we created color compensated images for the purpose of receiving "Like" for the eight categories of images. Participants were asked to evaluate the image by the scale created in Study 1. As a result, it was confirmed that receiving "Like" was promoted in the compensated image than before compensation in any image category. |
