A Study on Improvement of Communication Quality in Uplink SIMO Transmission with Base Station Cooperative MU-MIMO Interference Canceller

(in English) The mobile communication systems such as 5G, ultra-high-speed data transmission is expected anywhere in a cell. In a mobile communication system in which the same frequency uses in all cells, communication quality deteriorates due to inter-cell interference especially in the cell edge. As an interference cancel technique for uplink, we proposed the interference cancel technique that applies adaptive beamforming using Massive MIMO antennas, which cancels adjacent cell interference in cooperation with neighboring base stations and showed that the communication quality can be significantly improved by applying the proposed canceller. For example, SIMO is applied instead of MIMO as a receiving system when the communication quality is degraded. In this paper, we clarify the application effect when the virtualized cell MU-MIMO interference canceller is applied to the uplink of SIMO transmission.
