[Tutorial Lecture] Antenna Design Technology for the Terminals

(in English) With the growth of wireless technology, frequency bands and the number of antenna elements mounted in wireless terminals such as sensor devices and smartphones are increasing. In addition, many parts are equipped in the wireless terminal to realize various advanced functions. Antenna space in the wireless terminal has been becoming smaller and smaller because of the increase of these parts. Furthermore, to meet the market demand for smaller and thinner devices, various knowledge and ideas are required to design antennas operating at multiple frequencies in a limited space. We introduce examples of antenna development for such terminals.
