In recent years, damages caused by natural disasters have become a social problem. We are studying a Disaster Response IoT (DR-IoT) wireless communication system as a means of communication among local governments, disaster response organizations, and other organizations involved in disaster response. In this article, In order to understand the radio propagation characteristics of the 220 MHz band and 923 MHz band which is necessary for DR-IoT studies, we will compare the results of actual measurements in the Meiji University campus with the results of simulations using the ray tracing method and Jakes model for both of the comparison targets. From the results of the analysis, the comparison is made focusing on the outdoor propagation characteristics, especially on the instantaneous fluctuation characteristics. |
