[Poster Presentation] Proposal of Color Shift Keying with luminous color control in Visible Light Communication

(in English) Color shift keying (CSK) is an intensity modulation method for visible light communication proposed in IEEE 802.15.7. In CSK, transmitted data are conveyed by changing the color of light emitted from a multicolor LED in a high rate as imperceptible to human eyes. In recent years, some researches studied CSK constellations using mathematical optimization and achieved a better communication performance than the conventional one proposed in IEEE 802.15.7.
In those studies, it is basically not assumed to change the constellation of CSK while performing communication, and thus, the averaged luminous color (hereinafter, averaged color) emitted from the multicolor LED during communication is constant.
Hence, even if we try to change the averaged color actively, it is only possible discretely with a limited number of constellations.
In this study, we proposed a novel CSK that can control the averaged color continuously. We studied variable range of the averaged color achieved by the proposed CSK. In addition, we investigated into symbol error rate (SER) of the proposed CSK by computer simulations. The result showed that SER of the proposed CSK degrades as the achievable range of the averaged color extends.
