Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The Kirchhoff-Huygens equation, used as a diffraction formula, uses many approximations for ease of handling. Since the approximated diffraction formula is simplified, it is easy to intuitively understand the physical meaning. Therefore, there is an advantage that a calculation result can be obtained instantly as to how the diffraction pattern changes with respect to the aperture size, shape, and frequency. However, many studies so far have been conducted on optical systems that can easily obtain sharp directivity, and their applicability and validity have not been verified for radio wave regions with low frequencies. Therefore, we verified its effectiveness using the FDTD method, which is one of the electromagnetic field analysis methods, and quantitatively clarified the applicable range and validity of the approximate expression.
