Performance Analysis of a Packet Loss Recovery Method Cooperating with Neighbor Nodes in Distributed Databases

(in English) Distributed database systems realize the fault-tolerance and scalability to store the same data in geographically distributed nodes. To keep the consistency of data among all the nodes, they need to execute transactions in the same sequence. Therefore, a master node decides an order of transactions, and slave nodes execute transactions based on the order decided by the master node. However, performance degradation may occur due to retransmissions if packet loss occurs between the master node and the slave nodes. In this paper, we propose a packet loss recovery method cooperating with neighboring nodes in distributed databases. Finally, we reveal the performance of the proposed method under unstable environments.
