Technical overview of IoT platforms based on IoT reference models
Tetsuya Yokotani (Kanazawa Inst. tech.) CS2022-27
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) IoT services have been deployed in various fields. For efficient operations of these services, IoT platforms with functional commonalities are required. IoT reference models should be clarified to discuss allocation of functionalities for this purpose. This report clarifies the typical IoT reference model, and then specifies three type of platforms, i.e., communication network, information processing, and operations including data sharing. It describes technical trends and future issues to configure these platforms. Moreover, it also describes overview of international standardization on these platforms and their related issues.
