Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Asynchronous Pulse Code Multiple Access (APCMA) can avoid collisions even in high-density IoT environments. When multiple messages collide, the APCMA decoding algorithm can separate them and decode each message accurately. The Chirp Spectrum Spread (CSS)-APCMA uses chirp signals as pulses to improve robustness against noise and it supports long-distance communications. In this paper, we implement CSS-APCMA and LoRa using GNU Radio/USRP. LoRa is currently the most popular Low Power Wide Area (LPWA) communication system. We measure the packet error rate (PER) and throughput per device in a high-density environment using the transmitter and receiver we have implemented. Experimental results show that CSS-APCMA can achieve a lower PER than LoRa while maintaining the throughput per device, even when the number of transmitters increases.
