Message Routing Based on Divided Logistics Areas for Drone Logistics Networks
Kazuya Matsutani, Shigetomo Kimura (Univ. of Tsukuba) IN2022-1
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In a drone logistics system, a message delivery system in which the drone deliveries messeges for other users on the way to the destination of the package delivery has been proposed. To reduce complexity of messeage delivery routes, This paper proposes a message delivery method that divides logistics areas and decides message delivery routes in each area. The method also realizes that a later departure drone and an early departure one may exchange information to add, cancel, and/or exchange their messages and delivery points.
The simulation experiments show that compared with the previous method, the proposed method needs to less complexity and can be supposed to have almost the same the average delivery distance. They also show that when an early departure drone and a later departure one exchange their message delivery points and their points are many, the average delivery
distance is reduced from 0.7 % to 3.5%.
