| (in English) | The aim of this study is to show what groove represents during music listening. The results of a large-scale online survey indicated that (1) Groove is a concept related to the induction of physical movement, similar to the Japanese concept of “Nori”; (2) Groove contains concepts such as togetherness and undulation, which have rarely been examined, and (3) The evaluation of groove reflects processes related to music listening, such as acoustic properties, psycho-physiological responses, and social responses. This study contributes not only to the cognitive mechanisms of groove but also to the understanding of human cultural activities. | |
