With the development of wireless power transmission systems and their increasing transferred power, magnetic field leakage cancellation mechanisms have become indispensable from the viewpoints of human protection and electromagnetic compatibility. In this paper, we propose a magnetic field leakage canceller which consists only of a loop coil and a capacitor for inductive power transfer systems by modeling the magnetic field leakage generated by the transmitter and receiver based on the magnetic dipole moment. The main advantage of the proposed canceller is that it is independent of the structure of the transmitter and receiver. Electromagnetic field simulations and measurements were carried out to validate the proposed magnetic field leakage canceler. It was confirmed that the magnetic field leakage can be reduced up to 24.8 dB in the simulations and up to 12.64 dB in measurements. |
