Lithium-Air Battery (LAB), which delivers electricity using lithium metal and oxygen as active battery materials, develops ultra-high energy density storages. However, the low power and poor cycle performance of present LAB cells hinder the practical development. LAB cathode plays a crucial role in such battery performance, and the well-designed air-breathing pore structures demonstrate dramatic improvement in the power and cycle performance. Highly-porous carbon nanotube (CNT) sheet is responsible for the air-breathing cathode architecture and paves the new strategy for the practical development of LABs. |
