Enhancing physical-layer security by low-luminance space division multiplexing screen for uplink optical camera communication

(in English) In uplink optical camera communication at a distance of 3.5 meters consist of a smartphone embedded screen as a transmitter Alice, an indoor camera as a legitimate receiver Bob, and a camera from a wide angle or from a long distance as a passive eavesdropper Eve, effectiveness of low-luminance space division multiplexing screen to the physical security enhancement is numerically and experimentally demonstrated. First, to prevent eavesdropper (Eve) from wide angle, effectiveness of low-luminance space division multiplexing screen is demonstrated. Difference in receiving characteristics with a camera that depends on screen luminance and color is evaluated. Moreover, to prevent eavesdropper (Eve) from a long distance in front or a short distance from wide angle, effectiveness of low-luminance space division multiplexing screen is demonstrated.
