The testbed Japan Gigabit Network (JGN) and the Science Information NETwork 5 (SINET 5), respectively operated by the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) and the National Institute of Informatics (NII), enabled application experiments to be conducted using a wideband network with a transmission speed of 100 Gbps over an extensive coverage area. In this paper, we introduce an edge and cloud computing-based video-handling system for uncompressed 8K ultra-high-definition (UHD) video capable of realtime processing and distribution to multiple locations. Moreover, we also introduce a service-chaining technology designed to freely combine video-processing functions to provide complex video services using the newly-developed SRv6 framework and high precision network monitoring technology to support trials of high-speed video transmission systems. |
