Evaluation Method for EM Information Leakage from Speakerphone Using Voice Frequency Spectrum Analysis

(in English) The usage environment for speakerphones becomes more diverse with remote work. As a result, the surrounding environment may increase information leakage from speakerphones. However, the leakage evaluation method using spectrograms in existing studies is qualitative. Therefore, it is difficult to compare the information leakage level in different usage environments. This paper proposes an evaluation method for the threat of sound information leakage from speakerphones via EM waves by calculating the correlation value of the frequency spectrum between the input audio signal and the restored audio. Specifically, a random alphabetic sequence created by speech synthesis is used as the input voice. The frequency spectrum of the voice information recovered from the EM waves generated from the speakerphone is calculated. Next, the similarity between this and the frequency spectrum of the original speech signal is calculated using Pearson's correlation coefficient. In this way, the audio information in the EM waves leaked from the speakerphone is evaluated.
