| (in English) | We have been researching and developing KANVAS (Knowledge base system in wide Area Networks with Versatility, Availability, and Scalability), a framework for collecting and utilizing network information, and Bonsai, a network ontology. KANVAS collects various network information, structures and stores the information based on Bonsai, and provides the accumulated knowledge to users for network management and applications. In this paper, we propose a method for identifying the causes of failures using KANVAS and Bonsai, and introduce the design and implementation of an API for applications to use the KANVAS system. As an evaluation, we actually stopped network devices and found that we could identify the stopped devices within a realistic time. | |
