Robustness of Distributed Power Control for GF-NOMA in mMTC

(in English) This paper investigates the robustness of our distributed power control method for the grant-free non-orthogonal multiple access (GF-NOMA) in massive machine-type communications.
Our method monitors reference signals, used for GF-NOMA, for each terminal (e.g., a sensor) to estimate the utilization of power levels.
As these reference signals reach within a more limited area, the estimated utilization becomes more heterogeneous between terminals, and as a result, our method may show worse performance.
Our simulation results highlighted that our method provided lower power consumption than the existing random power selection method by 14 dB.
