The number of IoT devices is growing rapidly, ensuring security in those devices is an important issue. Lightweight block ciphers have been attracted attentions for security technology for IoT. Since the lightweight cipher Midori can be used in small circuit and low-power, it is expected to be utilized in IoT devices. However, the risk of power analysis attack for cryptographic hardware including Midori has been reported. Therefore, the countermeasure against power analysis for Midori is required. This study proposes a new power analysis countermeasure method for Midori implemented by unrolled architecture. The proposed countermeasure method is based on WDDL and BCDL. Experiments implemented Midori128 on FPGA, and evaluated the circuit scale and the tamper resistance. |
