[Short Paper] On Implementation of Radio Propagation Simulator with Open 3D City Models

(in English) In radio propagation simulations, the acquisition of precise information such as structures and topography is a significant barrier in terms of both accuracy and cost. Recently, however, open 3D city models have been developed in many countries towards digital twin systems; using these models will enable simple and accurate radio propagation simulations. This paper presents an implementation result of a ray-tracing simulator utilizing a 3D city model of the 23 wards of Tokyo released by Project PLATEAU, a related project in Japan. We report an initial evaluation of the simulator's characteristics using experimental data from commercial LTE systems over 2.6 GHz and 3.5 GHz bands.
