Abstract Sunlight and illumination light are known to produce uncomfortable glare phenomena, and their effects vary depending on the surrounding environment and condition of the individual. Elderly and Retinitis pigmentosa (RP) patients and Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) may experience uncomfortable glare due to diseases of the fundus, requiring protection of photoreceptor cells and prevention of disorders such as eye pain and stress. However, there are few studies to evaluate comfort quantitatively using Bio-signal processing. In this study, we focused on the membrane structure that creates shade and suppresses glare, and objectively evaluated pleasant / unpleasant emotions of glare felt by humans using cardiac autonomic nerve analysis using weak shading membrane that has the effect of softening sunlight. By analyzing the cardiac autonomic nerve responses of the elderly and young groups, we attempted to evaluate comfort by comparing human bio-signals of outside light under weak shading membrane environment and direct light. |
