In this study, we examined whether it is possible to discriminate healthy elderlies, patients, dementia patients and prion disease patients by comparing brain functional connectivity network (BFCN). To this end, 16ch scalp-recorded electroencephalograms were recorded in the resting state and BFCN were constructed in each group by using them. The connectivity between each pair of nodes (electrodes) were computed by synchronization likelihood. Graph theory was applied to BFCN. Community structures were detected by modularity. Then, clustering coefficient and average shortest path length were computed as a function of average degree. We tried to discriminate three groups by comparing these indices. |
