An indoor experiment of 1m class short-reach visible optical wireless communication using seawater of the Seto Inland Sea as an underwater transmission line

(in English) In this time, to simulate the underwater transmission line in the natural environment in underwater optical wireless communication, we used seawater in the shallow sea area obtained at 6 points in the Seto Inland Sea for the experimental system of underwater optical wireless communication constructed in the laboratory The bit error rate (BER: Bit Error Ratio) was measured in this experiment while changing the seawater in the transmission line in a 74 cm underwater transmission experiment of 500 Mbit/s, NRZ-OOK signal. We also confirmed that BER = 3.8 × 10-3, which can regenerate the original information by the error correction code, is achieved.
