Development and evaluation of a neurofeedback system for motor-imagery based BCI
Shuhei Oba, Simon Kojima, Shin'ichiro Kanoh (SIT) NC2021-52
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) A neurofeedback system to improve the user applicability of motor-imagery based BCI was proposed and evaluated in this study. The proposed system visually presents both the magnitude of the SMR (sensory-motor rhythm) generated by motor imagery and the ratio of the magnitude on the left and right sides in real time. By the experiments on five subjects, it was shown that SMR at contralateral sensory motor area in the frequency band reflected in the feedback indicator was partially increased on three subjects. In addition, the ipsilateral SMR was decreased while contralateral SMR was increased on two subjects.
