Spatial active noise control (ANC), which aims to reduce noise over a three-dimensional target region, has at- tracted attention in recent years. Regional noise reduction is achieved by spatial ANC methods in contrast to the point-wise reduction by conventional ANC methods. In particular, the kernel-interpolation-based spatial ANC method allows using arbitrarily-placed error microphones and enhancing the performance for given noise source directions. However, the current kernel-interpolation-based spatial ANC method is based on the interpolation of the superposition of noise field and synthesized field by loudspeakers, i.e., primary and secondary fields, which limits the reduction performance owing to inappropriate directional weighting. We recently proposed a spatial ANC method based on individual interpolation of the primary and secondary fields by kernel ridge regression. In this paper, we formulate a new time-domain FxLMS algorithm based on the individual kernel interpolation. Numerical simulation results indicated that our proposed algorithm outperforms the current kernel-interpolation-based FxLMS algorithm in terms of regional noise reduction. |
