A bilayer lipid membrane (BLM) is a basic unit of a cell membrane. In the BLM mixed with [60]PCBM, a change in current through the BLM was obtained when it was irradiated with light. The amount of change is referred to as amount of current shift. In this study, we focus on [70]PCBM, which has higher absorbance in the visible light region than [60]PCBM. We fabricated BLMs mixed with [70]PCBM, and investigated the amount of the current shift. Unfortunately, the amount of current shift of the BLM mixed [70]PCBM did not increase compared to that of the BLM mixed with [60]PCBM. On the other hand, the frequency characteristics of impedance of the BLM mixed [70]PCBM showed different characteristics from those of the conventional BLM. To analyze this, we performed fitting the spectra with an equivalent circuit including some additional parameters that take into account the effect of [70]PCBM on the conventional equivalent circuit. As a result, we could roughly predict the amount of current shift from the state of the BLM in the non-irradiated state. |
