(in English) In recent years, the demand for transmission capacity has been increasing exponentially every year due to the spread of the Internet and smartphones. Space Division Multiplexing using Multicore Fiber is attracting attention in order to break the transmission capacity limit of existing Single-Mode Fiber. In this paper, we report various characteristics of the optical connector for standard outer diameter 4-core MCF, which is expected to be put into practical use at an early stage.
