To realize wider swath width for spaceborne synthetic aperture radar (SAR), transmission frequency multiplexing method is proposed. With using multiple aperture antenna, sum of transmission chirp signal of each frequency band is imported to each element via D/A converter, and each radar beam can be simultaneously transmitted toward each area within swath. Proposed method does not increase transmission power spectrum density; therefore, it is possible to expand swath width without increasing radio interference toward other spacecrafts. |
